The TURK-HF registry is a national, multicentre, prospective, observational study of unselected patients with heart failure regardless of ejection fraction, who present with de novo heart failure, chronic heart failure, or acute heart failure requiring hospitalization.
The TURK-HF registry will be conducted in seven distinct geographical regions of Türkiye. The study sites have been identified according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics level 1 classification system to reflect the population distribution of geographical regions. To reflect the characteristics of health providers, the study sites have been selected based on the projected distribution of health provider subgroups as presented in the Health Statistics Yearbook. It is planned that 48 investigators from 39 centres (17 university hospitals, 12 education and research hospitals or city hospitals, 6 state hospitals, and 4 private hospitals) at 22 cities across Türkiye.
The primary objective of the Türkiye Heart Failure (TURK-HF) Registry is to provide a comprehensive description of the epidemiology, socio-demographic and clinical characteristics, and quality of life of individuals with heart failure, irrespective of ejection fraction, who are either inpatients or outpatients.
